Strange Country
As a photographer, sometimes you set out to show the world as it is to your eyes. This isn't always the case though. Sometimes you want to show how the world *feels*, rather than just how it looks. This project, which I'm calling "Strange Country", aims to capture the surreal silence and loneliness of the American backroads by reinterpreting the visual reality into something ... less ordinary. If I shot film this is a project I would be shooting on Kodak Aerochrome infrared film, but as I only shoot digital I've had to "settle" for using modern solutions to achieve a similarly otherworldly look that suits the feeling of wandering the backroads of this strange country.
